Demetreus Lancsweert’s hallmark of success is his ability to uncover and deliver game-changing sales and business development opportunities. With more than 20 years of experience across multiple industries with many different technologies, he has consistently created breakthrough results for companies operating in U.S. and European markets.
Fueled by the prospect of realizing profitable opportunities, Demetreus is known for installing proactive and highly effective sales processes, building “lean and mean” teams, and continually working to strengthen the capabilities of sales organizations for maximum performance and success.
Prior to joining DataCamp as Head of Channel Partnerships, Demetreus ensured the successful integration of the recently acquired Luciad organization with Hexagon US Federal. Demetreus had joined Luciad as a Sales Director more than 10 years ago. After developing and leading the European sales team to double digit revenue growth, he was handpicked by senior leadership to open the U.S. office and establish the company’s presence in North America.
As the Vice President of Sales for North America, Demetreus successfully launched the new office, achieving positive EBTIDA within 3 months and closing strategic deals with large systems integrators, product companies, solution providers as well as government agencies.
Prior to joining Luciad, Demetreus served as a Country Manager for a startup business unit at Econocom. In this role, he built the sales team from the ground up and brought to market a disruptive ICT outsourcing concept.
Demetreus previously held progressive leadership roles in telecommunications earning successive promotions and “Inner Circle” awards as he navigated through multiple M&A’s which started with Unix to Unix network (UUnet) and ended with the last acquisition by Verizon.
He worked at the forefront of secure internet and data center services as a Sales Manager for UUNet during the early years of the Internet. His team captured 70% of the market share for internet and security solutions among top financial and blue-chip companies. With MCI Europe, he served as Director of Channel Management and Director of Partner Sales with a P&L of $100+ million.
He ended his telecommunications career with Verizon Belgium, integrating the former UUNet and MCI Sales teams.
His career began in financial services where he served as the Regional Sales Manager in Brussels, managing the financial advisors’ channel for AXA, the #2 insurance company in the world.
Demetreus attended the Brussels University for Business Economics where he earned a master’s degree in Economics and International Business and a graduate certificate in Consular and International Affairs.
Born in Spain and raised in Belgium, Demetreus now lives with his family in the Washington DC area.
